Setzer Youth Education is a fourth leaf on the Galinsky Academy tree. We encompass all of the informal youth-related programming that goes on at the Center, including:
Chalutzim (grades 4 & 5), Kadima (grades 6-8), USY (grades 9-12), Siyyum (grade 12), Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Shabbat Youth Experience and Camp Ki Tov! Our goal is to have a supplementary, Jewish, non-formal program for each and every child up to 12th grade.
Each of our Youth Groups, as well as Scouts, is led by a leadership board consisting of their peers, which is overseen by volunteer adult advisors. Camp Ki Tov features a Leaders In Training track for 6th through 10th graders, which is led by our Youth Director. One of the many benefits of this model is to teach all of our participants, from our youngest members to our oldest members, that they can have a voice and a say in the direction and process of their group, thus teaching them invaluable leadership skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
